EastEnders star Adam Woodyatt reveals ‘new job’ that’s miles away from Ian Beale – sparking fan fears he’ll QUIT soap

EASTENDERS legend Adam Woodyatt has landed a huge new job worlds away from Albert Square.
The 52-year-old, who plays Ian Beale in EastEnders, appears to be taking a leaf out of his restaurant owner character’s book.
Adam has revealed he’s been cooking at two Michelin starred restaurant Midsummer House in Cambridge.
Writing on Instagram, he said: “Yesterday was like the first day at school.
“After two years of talking about doing it, I finally found time to spend a day working at @midsummer_house_ with @markabbottwa60 and @midsummerchef.
“The hours are long but being part of service was brilliant.
“With a watchful eye over me, I was plating up the Carlingford Oyster amuse bouche. Today, I think I’ve got the very fiddly macaron to get the hang of.”
Foodie Adam was previously spotted serving customers from a food stall in London’s Wimbledon.
His new job comes after it was revealed he’s being chased by the tax office for a monster bill after breaking up his management firm.
HMRC has told the star’s accountants that he owes £139,000 in Corporation Tax but his number crunchers are querying figures.
Accounts which handle the break-up of the firm run by the EastEnders star and his ex-wife show the couple shared £415,000 from XL Management Ltd’s coffers.
The figures compiled by insolvency firm BLB also show that £99,000 has been handed over to HMRC after Adam and Beverley’s company was put into voluntary liquidation last year.
But in a report sent to Companies House last week, the accountancy firm says: “On 22 January 2024, I received a Proof of Debt from HMRC in the sum of £139.481.29 claiming for the Corporation Tax liability and Section 455 tax.
“The claim did not take into account the dividend paid in November 2023 and it has not separated the elements of taxation owing, and no response has been provided as regards the treatment of Section 455 tax.
“For this reason, matters are ongoing, and I continue to correspond with HMRC to understand what liabilities, if any, may be outstanding.”
Books for the company showed he earned around £2.5million in two years.
Now he’s applied to have XL Management Ltd – which takes in cash from his acting work – to be voluntarily liquidated.
Adam shocked fans when he returned to EastEnders last year, with Ian moving back onto the Square with wife Cindy [Michelle Collins] who was previously believed to have been dead.
