Whitney Dean attacks Lauren Branning in a preview of Tuesday’s (May 21) EastEnders episode.
First-look photos from the next EastEnders instalment show the aftermath of Whitney finding out during her wedding that Zack cheated on her with her best friend Lauren.
The preview paints a dramatic picture of what’s ahead for Whitney as she ends up physically attacking Lauren on what was supposed to be the happiest day of her life.
In Monday’s (May 20) episode, Zack was wracked by guilt over his recent betrayal with Lauren and wanted to confess to Whitney before tying the knot.
Bianca Jackson was dead set against Zack telling Whitney the truth on their wedding day, warning him he’d missed his opportunity to be honest.
“You’ve had your chance, Zack, so suck it up. You ruin today and I will ruin the rest of your life,” she threatened.
In the end, Whitney found out the truth — though not from Zack or Bianca. Foster daughter Britney Wainwright had recently overheard Zack and Lauren discussing their hook-up and couldn’t keep quiet any longer.
During the wedding, Britney revealed to Whitney: “He cheated on you. It’s true. Zack slept with Lauren.”
The next episode will revolve around Whitney grappling with whether or not to accept Britney’s accusations, and what it could mean for her future in Walford.
