EastEnders fans have been left in hysterics over the bizarre way that Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) was sitting in last night’s (11th March) episode.
During a tense conversation in the Queen Vic living room, Elaine sat down with her fiancée George Knight (Colin Salmon) and his daughters Gina (Francesca Henry) and Anna (Molly Rainford).
Admitting that his DNA results proved unfruitful, he confessed to his daughters that they weren’t of Jamaican descent as originally thought, but actually West African.
George’s journey has been sparked a result of learning that his adoptive father Eddie (Christopher Fairbank) had murdered his birth dad Henry forty years ago and was now looking for a character reference at an upcoming court hearing.
Despite the emotional scene, eagle-eyed viewers were quick to pick up on something a bit out of the ordinary – the position in which Elaine had twisted her leg.
Taking to X/Twitter, one soap fan account exclaimed: ‘Elaine’s leg!?!?’
The statement was met with much hilarity, with another fan commenting ‘Not gonna lie, I had to do a double take.’
‘Glad I’m not the only one to notice this her poor ankle’ added another.
Many fans were quick to relate the somewhat unusual image to the recent drama surrounding a photograph released by Kensington Palace of Kate Middleton and her children.
The Princess of Wales was later forced to admit that she had manipulated the picture, after much speculation online surrounding its authenticity.
In a bizarre twist of events, a multitude of fans have suggested that Kate had edited last night’s EastEnders.
‘Very Kate Middleton’ said one.
‘She’s been Kate Middletoned’ said another.
The scene comes just weeks after a McKlunky’s extra was spotted scratching his nose with some food preparation tongs in the background of the BBC soap.
Fans reacted in exactly the way you’d expect them to – utter disgust.
