EXCLUSIVE: BBC EastEnders stars tease Ravi and Priya twist as ‘huge history’ could be explored

EastEnders fans may see romance blossom for a former couple on the BBC soap in upcoming scenes.

Ravi Gulati and Priya Nandra-Hart’s history may finally be revisited, with fans still not knowing too much about their past romance. Of course viewers do know that they dated years ago, and Priya fell pregnant with their son Nugget.

While Ravi did not want to keep the baby initially, they decided to make a go of things only for Ravi’s adoptive father Ranveer to threaten her. He sent Priya packing wanting her out the way, telling her to leave her young son and Ravi behind with her life at risk.

Ravi never knew this was why she left, and he also didn’t know until their reunion a year ago that she was pregnant with his daughter. Ravi met his secret child Avani last year, and now he and Priya seem to finally be on good terms.

But could a reunion be on the cards for the pair amid Priya’s possible new romance with Martin Fowler? Speaking to The Mirror last month, cast members Aaron Thiara and Sophie Khan Levy who play the pair teased there could be more ahead for the exes.

They talked of the soap exploring their history and their past romance, with it teased they might reconcile. Sophie told us: “We haven’t seen much of their relationship and there’s a huge history, it’s definitely there,” when asked about them reuniting.

Aaron added: “As a fan there’s a level of intrigue about them isn’t there, and if we uncover and unpick that history slowly and give that excitement to the fans, that would be a lot of fun. There was a moment a few months ago with Ravi, when Priya made a pass at Nish.

“Ravi shrugged it off a bit because they were not together, and he was like she’s her own woman, do what you want. If things did progress then he might react differently.”

Aaron also teased there was “unfinished business” there between Ravi and Priya that could take focus. It comes amid Avani spotting her father’s jealousy in upcoming scenes, as Priya enjoys getting to know Martin.

She comes up with a plan, spelling trouble for Priya and her possible new man. It’s soon apparent the teen wants to get her parents back together, but will it happen?
