After months of turmoil, next week EastEnders’ The Six face Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) in court in a bid to shut down the events of Christmas Day once and for all!

Viewers of the BBC One soap will remember that devious Dean is on trial for the murder of Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) after being framed by the women.

Of course, as we know, it was actually Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) who stabbed him with a meat thermometer in defence of Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), who was being throttled.

In recent weeks, Sharon has been plagued by Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris), who has become convinced that she is responsible, but has protested her innocence.

‘It’s very concerning for her’ Letitia told us.

‘Bernie is hell-bent on making Sharon pay for the death of her brother and she’s made it very clear that she won’t let this issue lie.

‘We’ve seen Bernie resort to some very low tactics in the past couple of weeks so who knows how far she is willing to go, she’s very unpredictable.’

The trial coincides with Sharon’s son Albie’s first day of school, something she’s disheartened to be missing. Linda calls by so they both have a shoulder to cry on, and they become fearful of the future for their children.

Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) offers some reassurance, and Sharon heads off to court after asking Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) and Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) to ensure Linda testifies.

As she stands up before the judge and jury, the weight of lying about Dean’s involvement soon becomes too much for Sharon.

‘She feels incredibly guilty, but it’s so much bigger than the court case’ Letitia added.

‘Keanu ultimately died at Christmas because Linda saved Sharon’s life, but there is so much more collateral damage that has happened as a result of her and Keanu’s love that goes well beyond the trial and Christmas.

‘The breakdown of her marriage to Phil, the death of her son, Denny, and ultimately the death of Keanu on top of everything else that has followed.

‘Sharon has endured immense heartbreak because she dared to give into her feelings for Keanu, and I don’t think she will ever forgive herself for the pain it’s inflicted on everyone around her.’

Later, Linda flees from the situation and her family and friends frantically try and track her down.
The next day, an update in Dean’s trial has huge repercussions for The Six, and one of them makes a decision that they could live to regret. The fight for their freedom intensifies.

Letitia continued: ‘It gets out of hand very quickly, and I don’t think any of the women could have predicted what happens, but that’s all I’ll say for now.’

‘Expect a lot more drama. It’s far from over!’
