The Walford legend arrives back in Walford next week to demand answers over her sister Sonia Fowler’s (Natalie Cassidy) arrest for Debbie Colwell’s murder, but it becomes clear she is still struggling with her depression.

During Bianca’s return to Albert Square earlier this year, she opened up to Kat about a mental health episode, which happened after Whitney Dean’s (Shona McGarty) visit to Milton Keynes and was subsequently diagnosed with depression.

Having resisted medication and group therapy, Kat vowed to support Bianca and tried to keep the peace between her and Sonia as they remained at loggerheads over her partner Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman).

Tensions eventually boiled over between the siblings, with Bianca revealing to a packed pub that Reiss and Sonia had been using stolen money from his comatose wife Debbie’s account to fund their IVF.

A tearful Bianca later disappeared into the night in her taco van, and has not been seen in Walford since.

Upon her return next week, Bianca interrogates Reiss – who was the one who actually killed his wife Debbie – and accuses him outright of her murder.

Steadfast in her belief he’s to blame, she restorts to desperate measures to antagonise him.

After Reiss tells Martin Fowler (James Bye) about Bianca’s depression diagnosis, she and Martin have a heart-to-heart about her recent struggles over a drink in The Vic.

The night soon takes an unexpected turn, and the next morning she wakes up at Kat’s flat, where her best mate grows more concerned about her behaviour.

Telling Bianca she needs to face up to her actions, Kat encourages her to go and see a GP.

However, Bianca later skips the appointment to attend a fundraising event for Sonia as she continues to avoid confronting her mental health.

Will Bianca be able to face up to her struggles?

EastEnders airs these scenes from Monday 23 September at 7.30pm on BBC One and from 6am on iPlayer.
