It has been almost two months since Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) was murdered by Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) on Christmas Day in EastEnders, and now The Six have received a significant update.
In the aftermath of the murder, things all became too much for Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), who fled the country following the ordeal and has gone no contact with the rest of the women ever since.
However, recent scenes saw her finally respond to Kathy Beale’s (Gillian Taylforth) texts with a surprise phone call.
Kathy was relieved to finally hear from her, but was soon alarmed when Sharon appeared to be in a panic.
After telling her to calm down, Kathy was finally able to decipher that the police had been in contact to tell Sharon that they were stopping the search for Keanu.
While viewers and The Six know that Keanu’s body is buried under the café, the story they told police has everyone else on the Square believing that Keanu did a runner after attacking Nish and holding The Six at knife point in the Vic.
Sharon explained to Kathy that police believed Keanu had left the country and therefore the missing persons case was no longer active.
With Sharon still panicking, Kathy told her to calm down, assuring her that it was all over now and they were in the clear.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t going to be that simple, as Kathy soon found out.
After being summoned to the barrel store by Linda, Kathy and the rest of The Six soon learnt that she had confessed all to son Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff), leaving them horrified that she had broken their vow.
Though they were terrified that she may go on to spill all to someone else, Johnny warned them that Linda was the least of their worries, as the murder weapon was now missing.
Though the police have seemingly dropped Keanu’s missing persons case, could they be set to reopen it if the weapon has fallen into the wrong hands?
