Jake Wood gives cryptic three-word answer over EastEnders return
EastEnders legend Jake Wood has teased a return to EastEnders, three years on from his dramatic exit.
The actor, best known for playing Albert Square icon Max Branning for fifteen years, departed the BBC soap in 2021.
His exit storyline saw Max leave to join daughter Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) and grandson Louie in New Zealand, leaving Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) behind – pregnant with his daughter.
Jake is currently taking to the stage at London’s National Theatre in an adaption of Charles Dickens’ final novel Our Mutual Friend.
Debuting on 10th April, the new version of the production, known as London Tide, includes songs from singer-songwriter PJ Harvey.
