Former EastEnders favourite Joe Swash has confessed he would love to have another baby with his doting wife Stacey Solomon despite insisting they were done having kids
Joe Swash admits he wants to have another child with his wife Stacey Solomon – despite already sharing six.
Last year, the Loose Women presenter, 34, ruled out expanding their family further. But now her doting husband, 42, has confessed he is open to adding another addition to the bunch.
The 2008 I’m A Celebrity winner said that despite parenthood leaving him “like a zombie”, he confessed he’d never change anything for the world. Speaking to The Mirror, he gushed: “I never thought I’d be sitting here with six kids.
“So you never know what life’s going to throw at you. But if it does throw another baby at me there could be worse things.” The ex-EastEnders star has son Harry, 16, with a former partner while Stacey has sons Zachary, 15, and Leighton, 11, with her ex.
Together they share Rex, four, Rose, two, and Belle, one. Discussing the hurdles they face as a family, Joe explained: “The big challenge is that they’re all different stages. We need to keep an eye on everyone’s needs to make sure they’re all being met.
“It’s really hard. When you’re tired you feel like a zombie. But they’re your kids and it’s the most fulfilling job in the world.” Joe admitted that when it comes to parenting he is very much the good cop. “We both sing off the same hymn sheet but Stacey has more willpower. So sometimes I will give in if they’re driving me mad.”
It appears as though the actor has had a change of heart about expanding his family further. Back in February, Stacey was left in tears when Joe told her they would have no more children after welcoming their youngest daughter Belle.
Stacey and Joe celebrated their youngest Belle’s first birthday in February – with the talk show star making a heart shaped cake for her youngest child. She proudly showed off the results of her baking on social media.
Sharing a video on Instagram, Stacey wrote: “Belle’s 1st Birthday Cake. Made by mummy, with so much love beautiful Belle. Honestly I’ve never felt so emotional making a cake.
“I’ve made every single one of my baby’s first birthday cakes. And if Joes reaction at the end is anything to go by this is probably the last one, why does it all go so so quickly?”
The video showed her mixing the cake ingredients together and adding the mix to a baking tin. She then cooked the cake, allowed it to cool, the decorated it with pink icing and added Belle’s name to the top.
The video ended with Stacey wiping away tears while Joe could be heard saying: “There you go. One years old. Well done, mum. We can’t have any more kids. I can’t tell people I’ve got seven kids!”
His wife Stacey appears to be in agreement, after she told The Mirror last year how they “cannot cope”. She confessed: “We don’t want any more we cannot cope with it.
“Yeah, we wanted all these kids and we’re so grateful to have them. So we will get romantic… but in 20 years’ time.” Making it clear to her fans online, she insisted: “Oh, for those of you messaging me saying is this baby number six – no, no, no!
“Don’t worry, we’re taking every precaution possible to make sure that doesn’t happen!”
