Former Emmerdale and Doctor Who actor Micah Balfour has joined the BBC soap as Junior.

Earlier this year, George made the horrifying discovery that he had been adopted in a baby farming scheme.

The blow was made worse by the revelation that George’s adoptive father Eddie (Christopher Fairbank) had killed his biological father, Henry Kofi Asare.

To vent his frustrations, George has taken to participating in illegal boxing matches despite his family trying to stop him from doing so.

However, George was shocked when he found himself face-to-face with son Junior.

Junior makes his presence known on the Square by bedding show icon Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer), who has made a brief return for Whitney’s (Shona McGarty) wedding to Zack Hudson (James Farrar).

Feeling uncomfortable in his family’s presence, Junior retreated to Peggy’s, where he met Bianca.

The pair wound up sleeping together after spending the night chatting and flirting.

As it turns out, Junior has a major secret he has been hiding.

After previously no-showing adoptive grandmother Gloria’s memorial, Junior arrives in Walford to spend time with his sisters in scenes yet to air.

In these upcoming scenes, George starts to feel left out when he sees his three children bonding in the Queen Vic.

This moment is soon interrupted by the arrival of Junior’s secret family, wife Monique and son Xavier.

Although the Knights are delighted to meet and bond with Junior’s family, it’s clear tensions remain between him and George when Junior makes his excuses to leave.

Elaine (Harriet Thorpe) reasons they can move into The Vic, and Junior agrees to stick around, after some persuasion from half-sister Gina (Francesca Henry).

EastEnders airs on BBC One and is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
