BBC One viewers were shocked when soap bosses revealed they had pulled Cindy Beale back from the dead as Michelle Collins reprised her iconic role in the long-running program.

But while Albert Square inhabitants, her former husband George Knight (Colin Salmon) and her long-lost daughters Anna and Gina were finally told the truth, another one of her close relatives has been kept in the dark.

Cindy Williams Jr., whom the blonde bombshell gave birth to while she was in prison before being enrolled in the witness protection scheme, has no clue her mother never really died behind bars.

She is the daughter of Nick Holland, who Cindy met while she was on the run.

The estranged daughter of Cindy Beale was last seen in 2015, when she left Walford to go to Germany with her then-boyfriend Liam Butcher.

As of 2023, Cindy was said to have gone through a tough separation with Liam and she left Dusseldorf to travel.

In recent EastEnders scenes, Cindy Beale decided to pay her a visit to finally get to know her properly and tell her everything she needs to know.

However, next week, Cindy returns to Walford in a surprise twist as George Knight continues to struggle with the weight of his father Eddie’s murderous past.

Coming up, George is finding it hard to cope with the fall out of his conversation with his adoptive mother Gloria.

Sadly, he isn’t comfortable sharing his pain with Elaine.

Later, he leaves Cindy a voicemail to say he wishes she were there, despite the tension that remained between them when she was making her way out of Walford.

In other scenes, Ian’s perturbed to hear Cindy has cut her trip short and come home, especially as she hasn’t been to see him.

It’s soon revealed that Cindy is with George, who needs to talk through his anguish over Gloria and Eddie’s court case.

Cindy reminds George she’ll always be there for him when he needs her – could they be gearing up to give their romance another chance?

The pair have had a turbulent year following Cindy’s return and the revelation that Rose Knight never really existed.

But in September, another huge hint that they could embark on a passionate affair was dropped as the exes shared a secret kiss.

They were then caught in the act by their daughter Gina and dismissed the smooch.

As viewers of the London-based program will remember, George recently found out that his adoptive father Eddie was accused of murdering a man named Henry Kofi Asare.

Henry had been missing since 1984 and his murder is thought to be racially motivated.

Can Cindy really help him?
