Linda Carter struggles to cope with Bernie Taylor’s poison pen scheme in EastEnders
She once again turned to booze and lets rip at customers
LINDA Carter will struggle to cope with Bernie Taylor’s poison pen scheme in EastEnders.
The Queen Vic landlady previously murdered Keanu on Christmas Day as she tried to help her friend Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).
Keanu (Danny Walters) stormed into the infamous boozer as he wanted to get his son Albie away from Sharon.
He started to strangle her after she revealed that the tot was not his child, but was in fact Phil’s (Steve McFadden) offspring.
Linda (Kellie Bright) killed him in defence of her pal after she stabbed his back with a meat thermometer.
The rest of the six – Denise, Suki, Stacey, Kathy – covered up the murder and framed Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) instead.
His sister Bernie (Clair Norris) has been speaking with Dean, who insists is innocent.
He tried to get Linda to take back her statement, proposing that he confesses to raping her instead.
Bernie turned to writing poison pen-letters as she attempts to get the truth out of Linda and to the bottom of who murdered her brother.
Meanwhile, Linda is struggling to cope with the situation as she turns to the booze, despite her previous bouts of alcoholism.
The landlady received a mystery letter that claimed they knew what she did on Christmas Day, as it labelled her as a liar.
Seeking some kind of solace, she will spend all night out drinking and her son Johnny (Charlie Suff) is left in despair.
He does now know how to help his mum, but Gina (Francesca Henry) insists that she will help to look after Linda.
Johnny returns to the Vic and has a huge row with his mum over what is going on.
He is one of the people that ‘The Six’ have trusted with the secret, alongside Jack Branning (Scott Maslen).
He will furiously storm off, only to return to the pub once he’s calmed down.
But he will be left in a state of terror after he will find Linda in a life-threatening situation and the paramedics will rush to treat her.
When they all get to the hospital, Johnny will let loose at Gina. He thinks she is to blame.
He orders her to move out as he is desperate for his mum to get better, knowing she is struggling with the weight of the murder secret.
Will Linda buckle under the pressure?
