LINDA’S REVENGE EastEnders’ Linda Carter takes shock action to free Sharon Watts

EASTENDERS’ Linda Carter has made a major decision about Keanu Taylor’s killing.
The Queen Vic landlady – who is played by actress Kellie Bright in the BBC soap – was all set to confess to killing Keanu to save Sharon Watts from being charged.
However with Kathy and Suki turning on Linda, she felt she had to do it to save them all from going down as she did actually kill Keanu.
But in tonight’s episode Dean Wicks proved what a vile monster he was once more when his drugging of daughter Jade was revealed.
And with that in mind, Stacey convinced Suki and Kathy to back her plan to frame Dean for Keanu’s murder.
She successfully planted the meat thermometer in his flat, and he helpfully picked it up to pack it for his new life abroad.
And having given the others the heads up, they stopped Linda from confessing by explaining everything.
They sat down with Johnny and concocted a story that fit with all of their existing statements and only needed the police to be tipped off.
However, there was a problem.
“It won’t work, the phone call, it’s too vague,” Linda said.
“The police could easily dismiss it as a crank call, and put it on the back burner. We need them to act now. If we’re doing this, if we’re really framing Dean, then we need to do it properly.
“Someone needs to go to police and tell them that they saw him entering the cafe that night. It has to be me. I’ll go in, I’ll give the police a statement.”
But Johnny and the others immediately set out to convince her otherwise, pointing out that she will face hell as a witness and that she would be tore to shreds.
Johnny begged her as her son to not do it.
Defeated, Linda said: “Well then. We’ll just have to hope that that phone call is enough.”
But later as she stood outside the pub, Dean approached her.
“You got what you wanted and I get a new life – fresh starts all round,” he told her.
Linda replied: “Just make sure you look after your daughter.”
“At least I’ll be around to look after my daughter,” spat Dean back.
“The way your liver’s taking a beating, can you say the same? Bye ‘L’.”
And by using the name that Mick called her, Dean appeared to seal his own fate – at least in Linda’s mind.
However in the pub, Johnny was finalising plans for Suki, Stacey and Kathy to drive far enough with a burner phone to make the call to the police.
But as they were about to set off, Linda called him – from the police station.
“Johnny, you’re going to be angry with me but I’ve made a decision and you’re all not going to need to make that phone call.”
But has Linda confessed or is she framing Dean?
