Loved up Kat and Alfie’s reunion ‘finally confirmed’ in huge EastEnders development
One of EastEnders’ most iconic couples – Kat Mitchell (Jessie Wallace) and Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) look set to reunite in upcoming scenes.
The couple were married for fifteen years, but went their separate ways in 2019.
Despite that, feelings have always been bubbling beneath the surface between the pair, and two years ago they kissed.
Her most recent relationship was with dastardly Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdry) following the breakdown of her marriage to Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).
Kat learnt that Phil had been unfaithful with Emma Harding (Patsy Kensit) and packed her bags, taking sons Tommy, Bert and Ernie with her and vowing to rinse him of his money and businesses.
Seeing that the family had been torn apart, Nish offered her and the boys one of his many properties rent free, leaving many fans to believe he had an ulterior motive.
…and they were right!
He too was after Phil’s cash, and after waking up to his true intentions, Kat and the other Walford women were able to drive him out of the neighbourhood.
With nowhere for them to live, Alfie stepped in and allowed her and the boys to stay at his house whilst he went on a holiday to celebrate the end of his cancer treatment.
In upcoming scenes, having now finished his hormone therapy, Kat arranges a meal at Walford East for him, Tommy, Bert and Ernie.
The gesture comes as quite the surprise to Alfie, who had previously set his sights on a relationship with Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).
Later, after noticing some flirtatious behaviour between the former couple, Tommy asks Alfie outright if he sees a future for them both and attempts to play matchmaker by taking the twins home.
Could a Kalfie reunion be on the cards?
