GEORGE has been disappearing and coming home with unexplained injuries for weeks
GEORGE Knight’s secret has finally been revealed in EastEnders tonight.
The pub landlord – who is played by actor Colin Salmon in the BBC soap – has been disappearing on and off for weeks.
Each time he has returned looking battered and bruised but has had an excuse each time.
However tonight the truth was finally revealed.
In tonight’s episode George was still reeling from the heartbreaking death of his mum Gloria.
She died last week after suffering a catastrophic heart attack after finally freeing herself of abusive husband Eddie when he was sent to prison for murder.
Tonight George received a call from his adopted dad from prison and he seemed genuinely devastated by Gloria’s death.
Asking George to visit him, Eddie asked about Gloria’s final moments.
But when he was told how Gloria was happy to have finally been freed from him – he turned.
In vile scenes, Eddie warned George that he wouldn’t be allowed near the funeral – and that he would ensure Gloria would be buried in their joint plot.
As Gloria had begged George to ensure she was cremated and not buried with Eddie, Eddie took great delight in telling George that he had no say.
The bombshell rocked George and the former boxer left before heading out in a fury.
His pal Phil Mitchell followed him and discovered George’s secret – he’s been fighting in an illegal fight club.
Phil begged George to reconsider and not fight a man half his age and twice his bicep circumference but George refused to listen.
And he ended up battered, bloodied and unconscious by the end of the episode.
