EASTENDERS has revealed a huge character is making a shock comeback and it’s bad news for Sharon Watts.
The businesswoman – who is played by actress Letitia Dean in the BBC soap – was left at breaking point in today’s episode after watching best friend Linda Carter fall apart.
Viewers watched this week as alcoholic Linda struggled to cope with her ongoing guilt about killing Keanu Taylor.
She stabbed him to save Sharon’s life – and along with the other members of The Six, framed rapist Dean Wicks for the crime.
Linda faces having to testify to ensure Dean goes down for the murder and the prospect has seen her hit the booze even harder.
Last night she almost drunkenly confessed to a room full of punters with only Johnny and Sharon stopping her.
In today’s episode Sharon vowed to help Linda no matter what – and opened up to Kathy Beale about how she felt she failed her own mother Angie with her alcoholism.
Kathy reassured her that there was nothing she could’ve done to help Angie – and that she would help her with Linda too.
But as she was speaking Sharon also revealed a major return to Walford for Keanu’s funeral.
“Karen’s coming back to I’ll have to deal with her,” she told Kathy, confirming the Taylor matriarch’s return just months after leaving.
But will Karen finally work out what really happened to her son?
Actress Lorraine Stanley previously opened up to The Sun about being axed from the soap.
“I was sad, it was a mix of emotions, it’s sad but it’s exciting as now I can go and do what I want,” she said.
“You can get a bit relaxed there and a bit comfortable. So I want to be out of my comfort zone.”
However she will now return for a short stint for on-screen son Keanu Taylor’s funeral.
But will Karen discover the truth about what happened to him?
