EASTENDERS’ Whitney Dean has been left devastated after foster daughter Britney dropped a huge bombshell on her during her wedding.
The market trader – who is played by actress Shona McGarty in the BBC soap – was due to marry today but thought she had cancelled the wedding after going into an early labour with baby Dolly last week.
However tonight her intended Zack Hudson realised he’d forgotten to cancel the wedding, leading Whitney to suggest they just get married anyway.
As the pair ran around trying to firm everything up, they made it just in time and Whitney walked down the aisle to Zack.
Viewers know he has been keeping a dark secret from Whitney – that he slept with her best friend Lauren weeks ago.
And while their foster daughter Britney found out – he thought he had convinced her to keep quiet but that didn’t go as planned.
Whitney launched into her vows, telling Zack: “Well, I just wanted to say that I never thought any of this would happen to me.
“And I don’t mean the wedding, I mean finding someone as wonderful as you Zack – especially having a family with you.
“We have three daughters, Britney, Dolly and baby Peach who will live in our hearts forever. And you are going to be the best dad, just like you’ll be the best husband.
“I know you love me and I can trust you completely and that you’ll never let me down. So I vow that I’ll try my best to always listen to you, love you with all my heart.
“To always believe in the best of you, knowing that you’ll never hurt me.”
But as Whitney was speaking, Britney chimed up: “You don’t know that.”
Whitney demanded an explanation and the kid told her: “He might hurt you. He cheated on you. It’s true. Zack slept with Lauren.”
Whitney looked devastated so will this be why she leaves Albert Square?
