Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash have reportedly struck up a “secret pact” as they lay down the law with strict guidelines for their upcoming TV venture.

The couple, who are no strangers to sharing snippets of their life on Instagram, are about to give fans an even closer look. The duo has signed on for a new reality series, rumoured to be called Escape to Pickle Cottage, which will be a Kardashian-style programme chronicling the daily lives of Stacey, 34, Joe, 42, and their brood of six.

However, sources claim that Stacey is adamant about setting “strict” boundaries to safeguard her family’s privacy. An insider told Closer magazine that Stacey harbours no illusions about the potential challenges of the show.

Concerns include criticism that the family are airing “first world problems”, security issues from showcasing their picturesque Essex residence, and worries about the kids “resenting” the public exposure.

The show is set to follow Stacey and her busy family at their home in Essex.

The source revealed: “They’ve made a secret pact in order to make it work for them. They’re planning on having a few private spaces that will be off-limits to camera crews, only sharing what the kids really feel comfortable with, and having both Stacey and Joe on the same page when it comes to their personal life and not ‘betraying’ one another too by going off script.”

Insiders believe the BBC programme is destined to be a smash hit, with Stacey and Joe renowned for their love of family time. Viewers can anticipate seeing an “unfiltered” glimpse into the lives of Stacey and Joe’s blended family, reports the Liverpool Echo.

The show will feature their three children – Rex, five, Rose, two, and Belle, one – as well as Stacey’s eldest sons Zachary, 16, and 12 year old Leighton, and Joe’s son Harry, 17, from a previous relationship. Fans will also be expecting to see dogs Peanut and Teddy as well as ducklings Daisy and Delilah.

Stacey first came into the limelight on The X Factor before carving out a successful TV career that has seen her become a regular on Loose Women and host her own shows, such as the BBC’s Sort Your Life Out. It’s believed she views the new show as an opportunity to further expand her growing empire.

Despite friends saying she “struggles to have a filter” at times, she has reportedly reassured her loved ones she won’t embarrass them. A source added: “She’s pledged to be really strict with the producers, who are no doubt going to be eager to catch some fights and family dramas.”

Stacey and former EastEnders actor Joe moved into their £1.3million Pickle Cottage home in 2021. The couple exchanged vows at the property in 2022, two years after Joe proposed.
