Keanu Taylor’s death has left six of Albert Square’s most iconic women under immense pressure as they attempt to keep the circumstances surrounding his demise a secret.

As BBC One viewers will know, unlike other residents who believe Keanu fled Walford after assaulting Nish Panesar, the Six’s dirty secret has been buried underneath Kathy Beale’s café.

While Sharon Watts left the Square in the aftermath of Keanu’s murder, the remaining Five have been desperate to keep everything under wraps.

But in trying to do so, they have also been butting heads, particularly as Denise Fox grows increasingly terrified of going down for Keanu’s fate.

Next week, tensions reach a painful climax and Suki Panesar (portrayed by Balvinder Sopal) is left to her own devices in Albert Square after a fight with Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner).

It all begins as worry surrounds Denise Fox (Diane Parish) as she continues to spiral with her mental health at an all-time low.

Suki fumes at Stacey for putting them all at risk by calling the doctors for Denise.

The bap van owner recently realised that the symptoms Denise has experienced, which include hallucinations, are all related to a form of psychosis.

Having grown from her own experience with mental health issues, due to her bipolar, Stacey decided to help the hairstylist, despite her affair with the latter’s husband, Jack Branning (Scott Maslen).

In her defence, Stacey insists that Denise doesn’t know where the murder weapon is, but Suki isn’t convinced.

She thus asks Stacey to cosy up to Jack for any information Denise might be spilling that could be used against them.

Before Jack goes to see Denise, Stacey takes the opportunity to tell him to ignore any of her ramblings.

Meanwhile, Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) starts to worry about Raymond, Denise’s son, but she’s shut down by her soon-to-be ex-husband Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), the lad’s father.

Later on, Kat overhears that Phil is buying the Arches from his son Ben and she starts to suspect that he isn’t being honest in the divorce as the business wasn’t listed on his solicitors letter.

Nish seizes the opportunity to get his hands on some of the Mitchell fortune and introduces Kat to dodgy divorce lawyer Roger Peel.

In other scenes, however, a rift is drawn between Nish and Kat as she arrives at No 41 to see him, but it soon becomes clear that he is aware she could be up to no good.

After fending off an attack from Nish, Kat runs to Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) and Suki.

The group of women all share words and Kat and Stacey humiliate Nish.

Unfortunately for them, Nish retaliates by giving DC Whisson a call regarding the events of Christmas and his attack.

In later scenes at the Albert, the women meet with Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) to discuss the developments.

The son of Mick and Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) was told the truth about the death of Keanu Taylor, much to his shock, but he has agreed to help the Six to protect his mother.

Sadly, cracks continue to appear within the Six’s pact and things take a sour turn when Stacey evicts Suki after an argument erupts between the pair.

Later on, Suki tells a devastated Eve that she’s leaving Albert Square whilst Nish watches on.

In The Vic, Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota) gives his mother Suki food for thought and, encouraged by his words, she heads to No 41 to ask for a truce with Nish.

It’s not long before Nish turns violent as the wider Panesar family arrive home in Suki’s time of need.

What will be the outcome?

Will Nish agree to leaving the women be?

Or will he figure out their secret and use it to fulfil his own need for revenge?

EastEnders airs from Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
