Three explosive BBC EastEnders theories: the Six exposed as murder weapon mystery is resolved

Can The Six really trust anybody?

DESPITE initially agreeing to keep their involved in Keanu Taylor’s death a secret, two of the Six have come clean.

This week in EastEnders, viewers are expecting the worst, particularly as one major villain could use it to his advantage.

1. Intense custody battle

Secrets never remain completely under wraps in the Square, as proven by both Linda Carter (portrayed by Kellie Bright) and Denise Fox (Diane Parish).

In recent scenes aired on BBC One, both ladies have admitted they were involved in the death of Keanu Taylor, which has yet to be found out as the hunk is thought to have simply fled Walford after attacking Nish Panesar.

But while Linda has benefitted from the support of her son Johnny Carter, Denise has mostly been alone to face her guilt.

This, along with her marriage with Jack Branning headed down the drain, has left her vulnerable and prone to horrific hallucinations.

Her psychosis symptoms have led her to be sectioned after a phone call was made to mental health services and, this week, Denise’s loved ones try to support her in her time of need.

Sadly, her seven-year-old son Raymond Dawkins has been left behind by Denise in Walford and Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) is concerned for him.

Coming up, Kat starts to worry about Raymond while her soon-to-be ex-husband Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) quickly shuts down her concerns.

To make matters worse, Phil tells Kat that his solicitor has started their divorce proceedings.

Later on, Kat overhears that Phil is buying the Arches from his son Ben and she starts to suspect that he isn’t being honest in the divorce as the business wasn’t listed on his solicitors letter.

Viewers of the London-based drama have been horrified by Kat’s budding romance with Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) following her split from Phil.

The Walford baddie tried to get Kat back but their marriage has clearly hit a wall, making divorce the only obvious option.

However, many soap fans have speculated that Phil may be trying to focus on getting full custody of his son Raymond in upcoming scenes of the long-running show as Denise’s mental health turmoil continues.

Phil’s decision also comes as his oldest son in the Square, Ben, will be written out after Max Bowden was axed from EastEnders.

“Phil may try and get full custody of Raymond when he finds out about Denise’s current mental state and Jack’s affair with the Branning concubine”, one viewer commented on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Another added: “Denise is scaring Raymond. I think once Denise gets the help she needs, Phil will take care of Raymond or try to gain custody.”

But how will this play out and could it make Denise sink even further?

2. Fan favourite has sinister plan

But while Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) struggles with Denise’s sectioning and Kat’s relationship with Nish turns sour this week, viewers believe Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) has a plan.

Linda recently panicked when the weapon she used to kill Keanu had gone missing from under her bed.

Once he’d been told, Johnny told Linda she needed to be prepared for the worst as he shared theories of what could happen if the weapon had landed into the wrong hands – or if a vulnerable Denise had blabbed about Keanu’s murder.

But this prompted multiple viewers to theorise Johnny may not be as innocent as he looks.

“Johnny is definitely lying about the murder weapon being missing he wants to plant it on one of the others”, one of them suggested on social media.

“I don’t trust Johnny he took that weapon, and he is disgusting for putting his mum through this. He will probably plant it on one of the women”, another fumed.

During her latest breakdown, Denise was horrified to see Keanu come back from the dead in another shock hallucination and the late character warned her that Johnny was pure evil.

“Johnny just looks evil, Denise is right on that one”, one fan agreed just as another predicted: “a dark storyline is defo coming for Johnny. He did some things whilst he was away for sure.”

Though Denise may be a simple target for Johnny, as he may be looking for someone to frame for Keanu’s murder to protect Linda, another viewer threw Dean Wicks’ (Matt Di Angelo) name into the mix.

“I’ve not seen tonight’s EastEnders yet I will be shortly but I’m seeing online this morning a lot that people think Johnny has it?”, the viewer asked.

“Why would he put his mother through more trauma when she’s on the edge as it is? Or has he taken it too frame Dean or he’s not the one who’s got it.”

Could Johnny, who is keen to get rid of Dean, leave the murder weapon in Beale’s Eels?

3. Surprise enemy makes a deal

Much like Linda Carter before her, Denise Fox confessed she’d een involved in Keanu’s murder to an unlikely ally – her former husband, who also happens to be a serial killer, Lucas Johnson.

The criminal played by Don Gilet is behind bars, making him unlikely to cause trouble for the Six, according to some fans.

But with unfinished business frequently coming back to haunt Walford residents, some viewers have speculated that Lucas may have another trick up his sleeve.

“I can’t help but feel he has a hidden agenda”, one of them shared on Reddit.

“Does he actually care about Denise? He may be the one to snitch perhaps? Maybe he can strike a deal and get out of Prison early if he gives police information.”

Another viewer quickly agreed and wrote: “I reckon he’ll make a deal for early release by grassing them up.”

Could Lucas really turn his back on Denise?

Or will the former preacher grass her up in a bid to make her confess and atone for her actions?

EastEnders airs from Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
