BOBBY Brazier’s EastEnders future has been confirmed after fears he would quit the BBC soap.
Since his appearance on Strictly last year, the 20-year-old has been inundated with offers and was reportedly considering leaving Albert Square.
But after a tense period of speculation he has decided to stay in his role as Freddie Slater in the iconic soap.
A source told the Mirror that it would have been a massive setback for the show to lose him, as he’s seen as one of the “biggest young stars.”
They said: “For his part, he loves playing Freddie, but he was in such demand after Strictly and he felt he needed to give all of the offers open to him proper consideration.
“Thankfully he has now decided to renew his contract and everyone is thrilled.”
Bobby will still be juggling other projects outside of the soap, but they will run alongside his work on the show.
The TV star became a fan favourite when he graced the Strictly dance floor with professional dancer Dianne Buswell.
The son of tragic Jade Goody and Jeff Brazier managed to reach the final before losing out to Ellie Leach.
Bobby and Ellie grew close on Strictly last year before confirming their relationship this year while taking part in the BBC1 show’s tour.
However, last month it was announced that they had called time on their whirlwind relationship.
Bobby did not waste any time in moving on and is now dating his EastEnders co-star Jazzy Phoenix.
The Sun on Sunday revealed that Bobby took Jazzy on a glamorous dinner date in London’s Mayfair.
A source told us: “Bobby is enjoying getting to know Jazzy.
“He loves that they both share a passion for acting and he, of course, thinks she is very beautiful.
“She is flattered by his interest, especially as she is returning to EastEnders soon to reprise her role.
“The timing is ideal.
“He is a perfect gentleman and treats her very well.”
