Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) issued a heartfelt plea to mum Linda (Kellie Bright) in recent EastEnders scenes, as she struggled in the aftermath of recent events.

Linda has been in turmoil since stabbing Keanu Taylor to death on Christmas Day.

Though The Six helped her to cover it up, she has been terrified of being caught out, and even came close to confessing on several occasions.

Just as she was prepared to go to the police in order to save best friend Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), who had been arrested for the crime, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) came up with a plan to get them all off the hook.

Having discovered that Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) had tampered with daughter Jade Masood’s (Elizabeth Green) medication and then pinned it on Jean Slater (Gillian Wright), Stacey decided to plant the murder weapon in his flat.

After much discussion over the technicalities of their new plan, Linda headed to the police station to make a statement against Dean, and he was soon arrested and charged with Keanu’s murder.

In more recent scenes, Linda struggled with the guilt of what she’d done, and wondered if framing Dean was the right choice.

After a full day of heavy drinking, she explained to Johnny that she couldn’t stop thinking about Jade and how she didn’t deserve any of this.

Johnny was quick to point out that while Jade didn’t deserve it, Dean certainly did, after everything he had put Linda and other women through.

As Linda lamented over how things had come to this, Johnny pointed out that while she couldn’t change the past, she could make sure that everything she’d been through hadn’t been for nothing.

He urged her to take her chance to start living again by kicking the booze and getting her life back on track, pointing out that she had done it before so she could do it again, even though it was tough.

Will Linda be able to get back on the wagon?
