Zack Hudson (James Farrar) faced another devastating blow in recent EastEnders scenes, having only just lost partner Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) and daughter Dolly.
Whitney left the Square with Dolly and Britney Wainwright (Lola Campbell) after discovering Zack’s betrayal with Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa).
Lauren and Zack had slept together after an argument with Whitney, and tried to keep it under wraps.
However, it didn’t take long for Britney to find out and expose them at Zack and Whitney’s wedding.
Grieving Whitney and Dolly’s sudden departure, Zack headed to the Albert to drown his sorrows, much to the irritation of barman Felix Baker (Matthew Morrison).
Eager to get rid of drunk Zack, Felix contacted Lauren in a bid to get her to take him home.
Lauren reluctantly obliged, though things went from bad to worse when Peter Beale (Thomas Law) caught her giving Zack a comforting hug.
Back at his flat, Zack and Lauren spent a while moping about how the Walford locals had been judging them, before Zack attempted to kiss her, leaving her horrified.
When Zack demanded to know what Lauren was even doing there, she ended up revealing how she had had a go at Whitney before she left, as she lamented about everything going wrong in her life.
Zack demanded to know what she had said, and when Lauren admitted that she had pointed out that Zack would have cheated whether it was with Lauren or not, he was furious.
It was clear he believed that this was what had drove Whitney to leave the Square and take Dolly with her, and he soon berated Lauren for being the reason he had lost his family.
